This is the question that is uppermost on everyone’s minds now. While producer Ashwini Dutt is putting up a brave face and claiming that Kantri is a big hit, the reports from the filed are contradictory.
The film is just one week old but the interest is said to be slowly dropping. The summer holidays were supposed to add to the chances of the film in a big way, but they are also not doing much for Kantri
The direction of Mehar Ramesh and the screenplay have not gone down very well with the audience. Except for some songs and dances by NTR , people do not seem to be too much impressed with the film.
Ashwini Dutt is now trying to prop up the film by wooing journalists in a bid to get favourable write-ups in the media. He threw a lavish ‘success’ party for the media, just two days after the release of the film!
The trade pundits say that the collections are gradually dipping and feel that ‘Kantri’ may end up as a ‘four weeks’ film.
