Kamalinee Mukherjee will be making debut with the big movie 'Kuttyshranku'.
Renowned director Shaji N Karun is making the film. Mammootty is in the title role and is paired opposite her.
Kamalinee Mukherjee, though Bengali by birth has won favours of her fans. She debuted with Kamal Haasan's 'Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu' and soon became a sought after Tollywood actress.
She earned rave reviews for her work in films like ‘Meenakshi’, ‘Godavari’, ‘Style’, Pellaindi Kaani’, ‘Classmates’ and ‘Happy Days’ among others.
However the same cannot be said about her Bollywood debut ‘Phir Milenge’ which was a dud.
She has done films in all important languages of South India and is making entry to Malluwood.
The film is about a lone boat driver who runs a parcel service between Kodungaloor and Kollam, through the backwaters of Kerala.
The story dates back to early 60’s. he has three mistress in three different islands and the film stresses on the three different kinds of relationships he has with them.
They are unaware about the presence of each other and meet for the first time to identify the body of the protagonist after his death.
Kamalinee plays the role of Pemmena, one of the protagonist’s mistresses.
She is the daughter of the popular Chavittu Natakam Aasan. She is also the heroine of the dance drama in which Shranku, played by Mammootty is the hero.
The film is also based on the change in seasons which means that it will take some more time for it to get completed. It will get completed only by October.
