The popular Dr KV Reddy Memorial Award for the year 2006 would be presented to Puri Jagannath Yuva Kalavahini is giving the award every year to one successful director. Puri Jagannath who started his career with 'Badri' turned a sensational director with the stupendous success of Pokiri as it rewrote the 75-year-old history of the Telugu Cinema. A committee consisting of Vasiraju Prakasam, GS Vardachari, Sarat Jyotsna Rani , PV Rammohana Naidu, YK Nageswara Rao had selected Puri Jagannath for this award. The award would be presented to Puri Jagannath at a special function on October 29. The melodious songs from the movies of KV Reddy and the hit songs of Puri Jagannath's films would be screened on the occasion, said Yuva Kalavahini president YK Nageswara Rao.
