The TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao has raised the pitch for separate Telangana. He has asked his party MLAs, MPs and MLCs to submit their resignations and they have done so last week. But the resignations have not been sent to the speaker of the assembly or the Chairman of the Legislative Council. They are all with the party ideologue Jayashankar. KCR wants to draw maximum mileage over the issue by exhibiting them all over Telangana.
The news from Delhi has not been that encouraging. Sonia Gandhi has sent some clear indications after her meeting with Chief minister Rajashekar Reddy that separate Telangana will not be given in a hurry.
KCR now has to raise the pitch to remain in the limelight. His meeting with cricketer Azharuddin yesterday was part of this strategy. . He also blasted YSR and the Congress for delaying the formation of separate Telangana in his usual style with choicest expletives at an indefinite hunger strike camp by some TRS men at Indira Park in Hyderabad.
