The contest to the Khairatabad constituency is getting murky by the day. While the congress and the TDP have agreed in principle to make the election unanimous, KCR has put a spoke in the wheel. KCR said that the party was fighting Congress in Secunderabad and Musheerabad constituencies and so it would be absurd to support its candidate in Khairatabad.
KCR asked Vishnu to contest as an independent and his party would not a field a candidate in such as case. KCR also offered to field Vishnu on the TRS ticket and asked congress if it was ready to support the TRS candidate in such an event.
Meanwhile, Vishnu started garnering support in his bid to get elected unanimously from Khairatabad. Vishnu met the CPM leader Raghavulu and the CPI leader Narayana and sought their blessings. He also appealed to them to back his candidature in Khairatabad.
