The unfortunate incident of the murder of a Vijayawada based Medical student pursuing her PG at a University of Wolverhampton in UK has come as a big shock to everyone. The killer Nallurui Nagaraju hails from Godavarikhani and his family is now settled in Jeedimetla in Hyderabad.
It now appears that the accused, Nagaraju was her roommate at the hostel. He is reported to have killed her after she rejected his advances. The accused is now in police custody and he has been produced in court in Birmingham. The court has refused to let him out on bail.
The state government is in touch with the British embassy and is making all arrangements to get the body of Jyothirmayi back to Vijayawada. The formalities of post postmortem are over and after embalming, the body is expected to be flown to India in a couple of days.
