Preity Zinta will be doing an item number in the star’s production
While Preity Zinta has offbeat releases coming up including Rituparno Ghosh’s 'The Last Lear', Jahnu Barua’s 'Har Pall' and Deepa Mehta’s 'Heaven on Earth', she’s keen not to typecast herself. The actor will be doing a sizzling item number in Sohail Khan’s 'Main Aur Mrs Khanna'. Directed by Prem Soni , the film has Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead. The item number will be shot in Australia. The film is set to release in September.
“You cannot call it an item number as Preity is there for a special reason. It’s not like other songs, which are plugged in without any relevance to the plot.
Her appearance has a purpose,” says a source adding, “The Khan brothers (Sohail and Salman) had approached her for the sequence and she readily agreed considering their long friendship.” Preity and Salman have acted in films 'Har Dil Jo Pyaar Karega', 'Chori Chori Chupke Chupke' and 'Jaan-e-Mann'.
