He came here asking Amdavadis to fall in love with Drona and went with a promise that he’ll talk to his father about bringing ‘The Unforgettable Tour’ to Ahmedabad. Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan landed here on Monday afternoon and sent a cheer among the people. But it was his humility that stole hearts. “When you live with Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, you learn how to remain down-to-earth,” he told one of his fans who asked as to how he maintained such a down-to-earth image.
Humble he may be, but he is assertive enough while expressing his opinion on the controversy sparked off by Jaya Bachchan’s alleged ‘anti-Marathi’ statement. He says, "I'm a law-abiding citizen and I don't believe that anyone can stifle you or your freedom in any way." The actor has surely come of age, but quiz him if he still feels overshadowed by Amitabh Bachchan while working with him, and he says: “Not just me, there is not one actor who wouldn’t feel overshadowed by Amitabh Bachchan. He was, he is and he will always be there.”
Abhishek’s interaction with his fans was equally interesting. While he readily hugged a kid on the latter’s insistence, he also promised to start blogging if and only if his fans wanted so. The suave actor, who has already dabbled in singing (Bluffmaster), surprised his fans when he said that as a singer, he rated himself (–) 20. When asked what he rated his father, he said, “well… +20.”
On serious issues like terrorism, Abhishek...
