Much to the annoyance of Kangana Ranaut, Jiah Khan insists on wearing clothes that are identical to hers
It is said that imitation is the best form of flattery. However, Kangana Ranaut is anything but flattered after she learnt that Jiah Khan is hell-bent on aping her. Now the Kangana Ranaut-Jiah Khan faceoff, which had started a few months ago, has taken an ugly turn.
Jiah has now started aping Kangana. Jiah and Kangana have a common fashion designer, Rick Roy. A reliable source said, “Recently, Jiah has been asking Rick Roy about Kangana’s outfits. She wants to wear exactly the same outfits, which Rick designs for Kangana. At times, she even wears the outfit that Kangana has returned after wearing once. Jiah even keeps tabs on Kangana’s vital statistics as she wants to have a figure like Kangana.”
Jiah’s insecurity became prominent when recently her manager accused Rick of being partial to Kangana just because Kangana is Rick’s good friend. Jiah’s manager even told Rick in no uncertain terms that he should go all out to ensure that she looks extremely good always. Rick was flummoxed about why Jiah’s team doubted his priorities. A source close to Rick said, “A few days ago, Kangana wore a gold outfit at a public function and after the function was over, Jiah asked for the same dress.”
Jiah remained unavailable for comment despite us sending her a text message. However, Rick said, “Both Jiah and Kangana took gold outfits from me recently, but they didn’t have an identical design. It’s just that the fabric used for both the outfits was the same.”
“Kangana is a friend and we have worked together for a long time. I won’t deny that. I have designed Kangana’s clothes for Fashion and Jiah’s for Ken Ghosh’s upcoming film. But, they both play different characters in the respective films. Neither Kangana nor Jiah should feel insecure,” added Rick.
Incidentally, the Kangana-Jiah problem started when the former had been almost finalised for Aamir Khan’s Ghajini but was later replaced by Jiah Khan for reasons best known to the film’ s unit.
