Directed by CC Srinivas, presented by MV Choudary, popular as 'Srimitra' Choudary and produced by M Anjibabu and P Kishorebabu on the banner of Mak Media and Blue Sky Entertainments, the film, with Srikanth and Kaveri Jha in the lead and Jagapatibabu in a special role was titled as Nagaram .
The function was held at Jayabheri Club in Hyderabad. Before the christening ceremony, some models walked on a ramp with the costumes designed by Sahil Gulati. Heroes Arjun, Rajasekhar , directors B Gopal, SV Krishna Reddy, Krishnavamsi, Rajamouli, Surender Reddy, Deviprasad, Boyapati Sreenu, producers Muralimohan, K Achireddy, BVSN Pasad, KL Narayana, ML Kumar Choudary C Kalyan and others attended the programme as guests. Jagapatibabu, Srikanth and Kaveri Jha also participated in the event. Speaking on the occasion, Jagapatibabu says, 'I played very small but impressive role in this film. I worked for just five days for the flick. But the character gave me immense satisfaction as an artiste.
I watched the rushes and they came out very well.' Srikanth says, 'Incidentally this is my 100th film. I am indebted to Jagapatibabu for accepting to do a role in the film without looking at the length of it. I will also play such roles in his films, given an opportunity.' Kaveri Jha says, 'I am very happy for getting an opportunity to play in a good film.' Rajamouli says, 'Srikanth used to appear in stereotype roles earlier. But after Operation Duryodhana he is appearing different in each film. This is the best period for him in his career. Jagapatibabu needs compliments for playing small-time roles in several films giving a moral support to the artistes in the flick.' Producer Srimitra Choudary says, 'After 'Khadgam' Srikanth had earned good following among the masses. So we thought of doing an out and out mass film with him.
Now we got an opportunity to realize our dream. In fact, it is the remake of a successful Tamil film. The movie had several elements that could attract all classes of audiences.' Pradeep Rawat, Ajay, Ashokkumar, Kalabhavan Mani, Venumadhav, Ali, Raghubabu, Sivajiraja, LB Sriram, Narsing Yadav and others are in the cast. Cinematography is by Sarat, music is by Chakri , while screenplay and direction are by CC Srinivas.
