YS Jagan, son of chief minister YS Rajashekar Reddy is likely to contest from Kadapa parliamentary constituency in the next general elections. The sitting MP from Kadapa, YS Vivekananda Reddy said that he would not contest the next elections and would be more than willing to give way to Jagan to stand from Kadapa.

Jagan has been taking an active interest in the politics of Kadapa for the last couple of years and he has built up a solid party cadre staunchly loyal to him in the region. Observers say that Jagan would have an easy victory if he chooses to contest from Kadapa.
