YS Jagan, son of chief minister YS Rajashekar Reddy is happy at the way his new Telugu daily Saakshi has made its presence felt in the state. The paper is doing well and is now running neck and neck with Eenadu in terms of circulation. Sakshi has left the previous number two, Andhra Jyothi way behind in terms of circulation and readership.
Jagan is confident that Saakshi would soon bag the distinction of becoming the number one daily in Andhra Pradesh beating Eenadu as the largest circulated daily. Jagan is now busy with work on his TV channel. The work on the channel is in full swing and the channel my hit the air waves during Dussera.
It is believed that Jagan is also keen to launch an English language daily soon. The state now has four leading English dailies – Deccan Chronicle, The Hindu, Indian Express and The Times of India.
