Hollywood stars are doing it all the time. But it is rare to see Bollywood stars taking time off to hone their acting skills. That's what actress Preity Zinta did for her role in Samir Karnik's Heroes. She attended Anupam Kher's acting school.
Kher confirms that the actress came to his academy for a refresher course. He adds that he was very impressed and feels that a lot of our actors could benefit from the refresher's course. Preity sees growth as part of her career. She feels that she is stepping into another phase of her acting journey. This phase is characterised by a lot of films that the actress is currently doing, roles which require her to discard her glamorous image.
Speaking of her role in Heroes, Preity said the role required her to speak in a special language. She also needed to change her body language and her entire approach to acting, which is why she chose to go back to school. She adds that her stint at Kher's acting academy did her a world of good. The actress promises to look different in all her films, be it The Last Lear or Har Pal. Well, what can we say? Just that this is one courageous actress, who is willing to adapt and change. Great going Preity!
