Indrajith is a rare exception among Malayalam heroes. At a time when actors and actresses from Malluwood are making overtures to act in Tamil cinema, he has declined a few offers which came his way in Tamil.
Currently busy romancing Simran for Heart Beats, the actor was urged to act as a villain in Bhavana - Jeeva's new Tamil film Rameshwaram. The film is based on Srilankan Tamil refugees who came to Tamilnadu. He was invited to star with Vijay as the villain in Pokkiri, the film which became a sensational hit. He had to refuse that offer too.
“I was very much interested in Tamil. The problem was that I wasn't able to adjust the dates to suit those films”, Indrajith said. After completing Heart Beats, he'll star in the Malayalam remake of Maalamaal Weekly, Priyadharshan's Bollywood blockbuster.
