Bollywood's leading man Shah Rukh Khan is confident he will continue to hold sway over the country's movie industry for several years.
Khan, 39, told the Mumbai-based DNA newspaper in an interview published on Wednesday that there weren't any new actors on the horizon to unseat him.
``This is King Khan. I'm the Ronaldinho of acting,'' he said referring to Brazil's football star. ``I'll be there for another five to six years then maybe you can think of some other actor.''
Khan is regularly rated as the country's top actor in polls by movie media. Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan and popular star Aamir Khan were relegated to second and third positions, trailing Khan, in an annual ranking of actors published by Filmfare magazine earlier this year.
Khan has starred as a macho action hero and romantic lead in more than 60 Indian movies since his 1992 debut. Media has often said it would be a while before other promising actors such as Abhishek Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan could fill Khan's shoes.
``No newcomer is around to oust me,'' said Khan. ``It's terrific. I'm respected, recognized ... Many magazines call me the icon of the country. The fact is I'm blessed, it has been a charmed life.''
Khan's blockbusters include ``Main Hoon Na'' (I'm Here), ``Veer Zaara,'' ``Kal Ho Naa Ho'' (Tomorrow May Never Come), ``Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham'' (Sometimes Happiness, Sometimes Sorrow) and ``Devdas.''
His new releases over the next couple of months will be ``Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna'' (Never Say Goodbye) and `` Don ''
