With two successive hits like 'Devadasu' and Pokiri , Ileana has become one of the heroines who demand the highest remuneration. She is reportedly demanding Rs 75 lakh per each film. Though the producers are coming forward to pay that much, her dates were not available for about a year. Hence they started searching for a new face and Mamata Mohandas has become the hot favourite.

She got an opportunity to play with two top heroes like Nagarjuna and NTR even before the release of her first film. This shows that Mamata is all set to give a tough fight to Ileana This slim Malayali girl had paired up with Suresh Gopi in a Malayalam film which was dubbed and released in Telugu as Pokiri Pilla and many heroes were reportedly stunned at the way she exposed her glamour and recommended her name to producers. Even before the release of 'Pokiri Pilla', she made her entry into the Telugu film industry as a singer with a song 'Rakhee… Rakhee… Rakhee… Naa Kawasaki…'

She was chosen by Rajamouli for his forthcoming flick Yamadonga opposite NTR Possibly this is her first straight Telugu film. After this, Mamata gave green signal for Don of Nagarjuna Mamata bagged this chance after Ileana and Trisha could not provide the dates for the director.
