He certainly managed to sell a lot of tissue papers in his film Taare Zameen Par. Now the eight-year-old child prodigy, Darsheel Safary is on to selling many more things.
His second endorsement in two days and fourth in three weeks, Darsheel was in Delhi to promote an energy drink. Before this, he released a comic book in Mumbai two days ago.
So, does he like all the attention? "No I hate going out as people chase me for photos, I hate it," Darsheel says.
Confessions of a harassed child star, there's more than just autograph hunters, screaming fans and celebrity hood. "I hate it and I hope I don't have to do this in my summer vacation."
When asked if he flooded with offers post Taare.., Darsheel says, "Yeah but I am not doing anything now as I don't want to miss school anymore."
Darsheel is the only child star in Bollywood to be nominated for a best actor award, alongside SRK and Saif. Darsheel says, "They are great stars." When asked how did he feel when SRK carried him to the stage, Darsheel says, "I was worried that I don't fall down."
And here's a message for his young fans. "Hi, thank you and stop thinking that movies are everything. Studies are more important..."
