With the growing popularity of malls and multiplexes, the theater owners in Vijayawada are planning to convert their cinema halls into I-max theatres. Many cinema halls are in prime localities. However, most of them are not making enough money.
In fact, some theatre managements are actually pouring money into the theaters instead of making money for running them. So, many exhibitors in Vijayawada are now leering to the view that only multiplexes can fetch them good returns. With this in mind, big names like I-Max, Prasads, PVR, Sringar and Adlabs are moving into Vijayawada.
