The High Court today directed the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation not to finalize any tenders in connection with taking buses on hire. The court will hear the case on January 22. Till then, the HC has bared the RTC from finalizing the tenders.

The JAC and NMU are ready to go on a strike over the issue. The unions allege that the government had filed an affidavit some time back saying that the RTC will not take buses on hire. Now the same affidavit is not being honored. The unions have welcomed the court directive and are now ready to defer the strike.
