As the date for polling for the ensuing by polls on May 29 draws near, the campaigning in gathering momentum. Chief minster TS Rajashekar Reddy, TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu, TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao, the CPM, CPI, Lok Satta and others are out on the streets campaigning with full force.
But the activity at other places in and around Hyderabad is attracting bigger attention. It is the betting racket that is going on away from the media glare. The odds are going up by the day for TRS retaining all the assembly and parliament seats.
The highest numbers of bets that are waged now are on the TRS losing anywhere between 4 to 6 assembly seats and one or two Lok Sabha seats. This is bad news for KCR as the odds on betting are a usually a clear indicator of which way the wind in blowing.
