Bhojpuri film industry pays tribute on music producers ninth death anniversary but Bollywood seemed to have forgotten it.
Name and fame are transient; neither remains forever. If that sounds like an esoteric shred of philosophical sermonising, Bollywood music producer Gulshan Kumars ninth death anniversary would reinforce ones belief in the above piece of philosophy.
The ninth death anniversary of late cassette king Gulshan Kumar was held on Saturday but no Bollywood personality showed up. This despite the fact that several Bollywood personalities being intimated of the same. Naturally, this has upset fans of the late Gulshan Kumar.
Especially given that during his lifetime, Kumar had been instrumental in shaping the careers and lives of many, thanks to which his beneficiaries continue to survive and flourish today.
On Saturday, Gulshan Kumars Shradhanjali Samaroh was organised by Pratima Tiwari, secretary of Lokras organisation, and on this occasion personalities like Rajpal Yadav, Saroj Khan and Tinu Verma were present though they were not related to Gulshan Kumar. Ironically though, those associated with him during his lifetime were conspicuous by their very absence. Incidentally, Ajay Kapoor and Ajit Kohli of T-Series were present.
Gulshan Kumar had played a very crucial role in development of Bollywood and Bhojpuri film industries. However, his contribution seems to be forgotten by Bollywood though Bhojpuri Film Industry showed its respect and gratitude to the departed music producer by observing his death anniversary which was attended by almost everyone from Bhojpuri film industry. Said Manoj Tiwari Mridul, actor and singer in Bhojpuri films, I dont know why they didnt turn up but as far as me and the Bhojpuri film industry is concerned we paid our homage and respect to him. He was one of those who shaped Bhojpuri films and albums by his unstinting support. The Bhojpuri film community will never forget this.
