Mother in hospital, incessant rains and flood-like situations in both his homes, Prateeksha and Jalsa , as well as about of viral fever -- anyone else in Amitabh Bachchan's place would have been pretty down in the dumps.
But not the Bollywood superstar, who made sure he was there to shoot for the last stint of Karan Johar's "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna".
"Work is work. And I didn't want Karan to suffer any more losses. After all his release is around the corner," said Amitabh.
It wasn't so much the rains as his sudden bout of influenza that left the long-delayed last stint of the film jeopardised once again on July 4. Amitabh couldn't make it that day, but was there two days later to do his bit.
"This is a very critical part of KANK's shooting where the entire cast has to be present while Amit-ji and Abhishek (Bachchan) had to dance. Kajol also makes an appearance during the course of the song. This would have been the second time that Karan would have had to cancel if Amit-ji had been unable to report for work," a source told IANS.
"But look at the Big B's tenacity. On Thursday he was back on the sets shooting and dancing. Though he was not fully recovered, he didn't want Karan to suffer any more losses on his account. Everyone on the set, from choreographer Farah Khan to director Karan, gaped in amazement as Amit-ji got into the groove," added the source.
