There seems to be some widespread disconnect in the Telugu Desam Party. Many senior leaders are keeping themselves away from party activities. The disconnect runs across the party at all levels. Babu’s lopsided priorities and his penchant to take up issues and then go back on them have hurt the party’s image a lot. Some senior leaders like Vadde Shobhanadeswara Rao, Yalamanvchali Sivaji , Gadde Babu Rao etc are not taking any interest in party activities at all. What is shocking is that even leaders from Naidu’s own Kamma community are unhappy at the style of functioning of Babu. They are now openly saying that the congress party is better than the TDP on many issues. It now remains to be seen how Babu will handle this issue that is slowly gathering momentum in the party.
