 Dileep's last film, July 4, released on July 5, failed at the box office and he did not have any release for almost five months now. As such, Dileep had high expectations from his recently released Romeo Romeo , a slapstick entertainer directed by Rajsenan and scripted by Rafi Mecartin, had a good opening. Dileep plays a home male nurse and Vimala Raman , Samvrutha Sunil and Shruthi Lekshmy play the female leads. The release of the film, a week ahead of the other three big releases (Flash, Katha Parayumbol and Kangaroo), will help the movie to make good collections. The latest buzz is that Dileep�s already delayed venture Calcutta News, directed by Blessy, may also be released this month. This is a combination that one would little expect. While Dileep is seen as an actor who specializes in doing light, humour oriented films targeted at the family audience and kids, K. Madhu is one who has always been doing racy investigative thrillers, and it wouldn't even be unfair to say that for most of the viewers Dileep wouldn't even seem to fit into a K. Madhu film. This is the first time that Vimala Raman will be starring opposite Dileep, though she also appears in a pivotal role in the Dileep starrer Calcutta News. After Calcutta News, Dileep is very hot water and Mulla should give him respite. Lal Jose and Dileep paired first with Chandranudikkuna Dikku, then Meesa Madhavan, followed by Rasikan the only flop for the duo. They recovered with Chanthupottu, a super hit. But K Madhu, one of the frontline action film directors of Malayalam couldn't team up with Dileep for any film in these years. But now they are planning one in the scripts of Dileep’s favorite scriptwriters Sibi K Thomas-Udhaykrishna. The film will have him in the role of a big smuggler. Fourth of July as it is known was the day when United States of America consisting of 13 colonies in 1776 declared their independence from Great Britain. Well in Kerala, July 4 is the day when Malayalam star Dileep releases his film! It is his lucky date, as all his comedy films released on that day have been big hits like C.I.D Moosa and last year’s Chess etc. Dileep is not bothered whether that day is a Friday or a working day, he has released it even o more Dileep-at-war-with-Thulasidas  Dileep, actor and producer of Twenty:20 and director Thulasidas have a match going, and things seem to have really heated up now. AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artists) and MACTA (Malayalam Cine Technician's Association), who were acting as silent viewers, have been dragged into the match to play as referees. Now that AMMA and MACTA are involved in the game, nobody knows where it all going to end. After the lukewarm response to Dileep's July 4 at the Kerala box-office, the actor is a worried man. He has to reinvent himself, and do commercially viable films.
