The senior TDP leader Devender Goud set a deadline of May 2008 for the TDP and party chief Chandra Babu Naidu to come clear on the stand over separate Telangana. The TDP chief immediately summoned Devender Goud and somehow managed to brush the issue under the carpet or so he thought.
But Devender Goud repeated it or made some comments to that effect at a rally in Karimnagar. Devender Goud said that he stood by what he said. His comments exposed the claims of Babu that all is well within the party. Analysts see Devender' newfound rebellious nature linked to Chiranjeevi's political entry. Chiranjeevi is looking for some able and dynamic senior leaders to assist him and also join his soon to be launched party.
Chiranjeevi is reported to have had a long secret meeting with Devender Goud. Chiranjeevi is said to have assured Devender of a big post in his party befitting his stature. This is the reason why Devender Goud is now raising his voice against the leadership of the TDP.
