Tamil superstar Rajinikanth will now be far more animated than ever before and this time in Sultan-The Warrior.
The 3 D animation film is directed by none other than his daughter, Soundarya.
Sultan-The Warrior was also screened at the ongoing MIPCOM event in Cannes.
And why did the 23-year-old choose her father as the subject of her first film?
“'I'm a die hard fan of my dad. I have always wanted to remain behind the camera, be on the creative side,” says Soundarya who is also CEO of Ocher Studios.
After animating some scenes and sequences for her father's films Chandramukhi and more recently the latest blockbuster Sivaji-the boss, Soundarya is in Cannes for MIPCOM to showcase and market India's animation expertise.
“It is the first live action film with a super , I plan to set a benchmark with the film, its a daughter's gift to her father,” says Soundarya.
While AR Rahman is composing the music for this Rajinikanth starrer, the Boss himself is also helping write this fictionalised mythological film.
“I am very excited about shooting with my dad. He is very curious about the film, the screenplay and he is completely involved,” says Soundarya
Sultan-The Warrior, is still in its production stage and is expected to hit theatres next year.
