The newly appointed PCC chief D Srinivas is now bracing up to face what could be the biggest challenge in his political life so far. He now has to plan the strategy to counter the TRS blitzkrieg over the issue of separate Telangana. The EC has announced the dates for the by polls today.
The biggest challenge before D Srinivas is about how to proceed. He will have a tough time in the selection of candidates too. Many senior congress leaders from Telangana like Venkatawamy and MSR are of the opinion that the congress should not field any candidates but leave the filed open to the TRS.
The by polls are like a mini general elections. They will give a clear indication about which way the wind is blowing and could lead to political realignments for the next assembly elections.
