The congress high command has finally made up its mind and appointed minister D Srinivas as the PCC chief. DS as e is popularly known is taking up the post for a second time. DS was the PCC chief in 2004 when the congress party rode to power beating the ruling Telugu Desam party.
D Srinivas thanked party Chief Sonia Gandhi for reposing faith in him and putting such a huge responsibility on him. Both YS Rajashekar Reddy and D Srinivas met Sonia Gandhi in Delhi and the announcement came soon thereafter.
YS hailed the announcement and termed it as a winning combination. D Srinivas said that he has no differences with YS and would work hard to ensure the party’s success during the assembly elections. The immediate task is to work for success of the party’s candidates during the crucial by-elections.
