Patel had been performing well, but when he spotted Kumar seated quietly near a television monitor, he turned jittery and began fumbling. "Upen just couldn't deliver his dialogue," Shah told the Mumbai Mirror newspaper. "We kept on doing retakes and even after 20 retakes Upen couldn't deliver the scene."
