Megastar Chiranjeevi has decided to defer the announcement of his party launch by a few months. The announcement of the party will now be made only in June or July. The reason for postponement is the announcement of the by-elections.
The by-elections have been necessitated following the resignations of TRS MPs, MLAs and MLCs. Chiranjeevi does not want to b caught in the separate Telangana row from ay one. If he launches his political party now, he will have to spell out his stance clearly over separate Telangana.
If he opposes separate Telangana, then his party will not get enough support in the region and if he is favourable, then he may get some negative publicity in Andhra where the unified Andhra sentiment is very strong. So Chiranjeevi is reported to have taken the easy way out. Duck the issue altogether for the time being by deferring the launch of his political party.
