Rohit Shetty's Sunday, starring Ajay Devgan, Ayesha Takia , Arshad Warsi and Irrfan Khan has another interesting addition to the list. Tusshar Kapoor and Esha Deol who will be seen in their first ever item numbers here. Tusshar will be seen performing to Raaghav's tunes while Shibani Kashyab will give voice to Esha's song.
Says an excited Tusshar, "I just got back to Mumbai, and was pleasantly surprised when Rohit Shetty called me asking to do a special appearance song in his film. I was taken aback but decided to take on the offer. It sounded great and I had never done this before." Though there could have been a small hurdle. "The only hitch was when he told me that I had to shoot the very next day but it all turned out well," laughs Tusshar.
This is a special appearance song choreographed by Ganesh Acharya. "I am glad I did as it is a full on dance song from the hip hop genre, Ganesh mahashaya wanted me to do something I had not done so far and choreographed me differently. I am dying to watch the song," says Tusshar.
Tusshar dances with a group of 12,000 dancers at the sets in Filmistan while Esha will be dancing with 800 dancers where 30 will be flown down from abroad. Interestingly, Tusshar got to decide his costume for this song. "Rohit left the costumes for me to decide, the sets were off-white and beige and so I decided to wear dark shades," he says.
Given the fact that Tusshar has never done any item songs earlier, it was an unlikely choice for director, Rohit Shetty. "I couldn't think of anybody else except Tusshar for this song. The outcome of this song was much better than I had expected, he did a great job. I am looking forward to Esha's song now which will be with Ajay, Arshad
