Considered an icon of Indian cinema, described by many as the eternal Diva of Bollywood, Rekha celebrates her 53rd birthday on Wednesday.
Since the 1970s she has been popular for her never aging beauty, acting talent and dancing skills.
Rekha made her debut as a heroine in the successful Kannada film Goadalli CID 999 in 1969.
She then went on to act in several successful Bollywood films like Khubsoorat, Khoon Bhari Maang, Muqaddar ka Sikander, Silsila and Umrao Jaan.
