![]() July is going to be plentiful for Malayalam cinema. The superstars and others have an impressive list of releases. Let us hope the monsoon subsides by next week as many biggies are due to clash. As of now on July 4 Wednesday, Dileep’s (his lucky date and American Independence day) July 4, directed by Joshy with Roma as the leading lady is due for release. Will July 4 magic once again come to Dileep’s rescue? A day later, on July 5, Thursday Mohanlal’s first film with the comedy king director duo Rafi-Mecartin is due for release. Mohanlal in a comedy role as a drunken advocate is said to be rocking. Lal ettan needs a big comedy hit to hold on to his top slot. On July 12, Mammootty’s Mission 90 days is scheduled for release. The stills of the film look very impressive. The film is an out and out action thriller from writer director Major Ravi, who won a state award for his last years Mohanlal super hit army story Keerthichakra. For Mammooka it is important that the film clicks. And on July 14, the number one director in Malayalam cinema Lal Jose, who understands the popular pulse, is back with his Sreenivasan- Zhang Shu Min, a Chinese girl(see pic) starrer Arabikatha. Can Lal Jose repeat his Classmates success? Suresh Gopi’s murder mystery on a train Nadiya Kolapetta Ratri, directed by K. Madhu is a very important film for Gopi. He needs a hit badly to salvage his career. The film also has Kavya Madhavan , and is scheduled for release on July 20. Can Kerala theatres find playing time for these films?
