When it comes to films starring big stars, fans make a big hue and cry. The release of big films is like a festival for their fans. They paint the town pink with rallies and meetings. The fans even spend a lot of money to show their allegiance to their star. Special premiere shows are held to show that their star is bigger than the other star.
The Mahesh Babu starrer Athidhi that hit the screen in October was a big event for his fans. Fans attended the special scening of the film at Gudivada from across the district and paid big money too. Each ticket was priced at Rs. 500. But the fans had no hesitation in paying the amount to watch a special premiere show held late in the night.
Now Balakrishna’s film ‘Okkamogadu’ is hitting the screen tomorrow. A special premiere show for his fans is being held at Bomarillu theatre in Gudivada. To show their might, the fans are shelling out Rs. 1,000 per ticket. This is double the amount than that for Athidhi But when it comes to showing caste feelings, no amount is too big for these fans.
