 The TDP is seriously thinking about bringing actor Balakrishna into active politics. The need was felt for a long time but with Chiranjeevi’s plans likely to turn into reality soon, the need is much more for the party now. A charismatic actor like Balakrishna can give some much-needed boost to the morale of the party leaders and workers. Balakrishna could be made the working president of the party. The family members of NTR are firmly behind Balakrishna and he is now even closer to Chandra Babu Naidu, as his daughter Brahmani is now Babu’s daughter –in-law.

It is being reliably learnt that Balakrishna is introducing his son Mokshganya in films with ‘Okka Mogadu’. The unit members are tightlipped about this. It is believed that the young son of Balaiah will play the role of a young Balaiah in the film. D Srinivas is trying to switch over and contest the Lok Sabha seat. Madhu Yashki is now the sitting MP and he is trying for a re-nomination. YSR wants to sideline both DS and Yashki and hence is backing Suresh Reddy. He also gets emotional and many times ends up making comments that are somewhat controversial and uncalled for. Dasari is known to have assiduously wooed Chiranjeevi to enter politics. After opening the year 2008 in a grand style, Balakrishna will star in another big budget film. Gunashekar will direct the film and it has been tentatively titled ‘ Sadhu’. The news has been kept a closely guarded secret. The engagement of Balaiah’s daughter Brahamani and Naidu’s son Lokesh is slated for the 24th of this month. Naidu, Lokesh, Balakrishna and others will leave for the US on a two week tour. It is learnt that it was Naidu who asked TANA to invite Balakrishna to their meet. Naidu wants to garner maximum mileage for his party during this visit. He feels that B more Srikanth-gives-shock-to-Chiru!  Hero Srikanth has always said that he was the brother of Chiranjeevi. He used to address Chiru as ‘Annayya’. Even Chiru treated him like his younger brother. So when Chiru launched his political party, everyone felt that Srikanth would be one of the first to join him. Chiru’s tour schedule announced earlier does not include Pulivendula, the constituency of chief minister YS Rajashekar Reddy. But the PRP has made changes so that Chiru can cover Pulivendula too.
