It is one of the parrot phrases of TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu. He keeps repeating the work “Aa Vidhanga Munduku Pothunnamu”. But when one looks at the promises he is making to the voters, one is left wondering if we are really going forward or backward?
Babu first came up with his 9 hours free current scheme. While he was in power, he was vehemently opposed to giving any sops to any section of the society.
And for the rice scheme, it is NTR’s scheme that was conceived way back in 1982. By promising to give rice at Rs. 2 a kilo, one wonders how he will take the state forward when the poor are only getting poorer on account of the lopsided development plans of the party.
People are clear about what they wan. Thy do not expect any sops or freebies from the government. All that they want is employment that will ensure them a decent living. But no government is wiling to take any steps in this direction.
All that the people want is decent employment and control over runaway inflation. If the prices were kept in check, the people would be only too happy to vote for them. The people wonder, by taking the state back to the early eighties, is Babu really taking the state forward?
