The state government has put a brake on the TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu’s plan to go to the assembly on a bullock cart. The TDP also wanted to stage a bullock cart rally from the assembly to the NTR ghat on the necklace road. The TDP planned the rally to raise its pitch for the demand for higher MSP for paddy.
The city police stopped a number of bullock carts that were being brought into the city by the TDP activists. The police have stated that traffic rules in the city prohibit the movement of bullock carts and hence, they were not allowed to bring them in. Babu finally acne to the assembly on a tractor.
