Asin made her entry into films with the Malayalam movie Narendra Makan Jayakanthan Vaka in 2001 and then moved to Telugu films. She later started doing more Tamil films and has now become a successful actress in Tamil film industry.
She has now shifted to a flat in Lokhandwala, Mumbai. She has only two Tamil films in hand and is shuttling between Mumbai and Chennai for completing her assignments.
The actress is currently working on the Hindi remake of her Tamil blockbuster, Ghajini starring Aamir Khan in the lead. She then has Rakeysh Mehra’s Delhi 6 starring Siddarth in the lead.
She has also been signed for an English movie, titled as The Night 3 Step by Bharat Bali based on a story by M.T. Vasudevan Nair. The latest buzz is that the director is trying to rope in Kamal Haasan or Mohanlal for the male lead.
