With Asin falling ill suddenly, the shooting of Vel has been suspended temporarily. Last week the actress returned from Namibia where she was shooting for the Ghajini Hindi remake with Aamir Khan She immediately started shooting for Vel with Surya While shooting, the director saw her looking weak. He called in a doctor who diagnosed her with viral fever. He suggested that she takes complete bed rest for three days. So, she will be back on set being her bubbly self on Monday.
Just a day ago, Asin told some Tamil journalists about one of the experiences while shooting in Namibia. She said that she witnessed the cruel death of a fisherman. In her words, "We were shooting at a beach in Namibia. The place was a nice picturesque place. While the shooting was going on, we saw man struggling in the water. We tried to save him but we couldn't. I saw him die right there. It was terrifying to watch the man die like that. The experience still gives me shivers." Could that be the reason for her illness?
