From skimpy skirts to salwar kameez, it was quite a transition for Bollywood bombshell Amrita Arora while working in Atul Agnihotri’s film Hello .
The movie, based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel ‘ One Night @ a call centre’, has Amrita playing a plain Jane. She plays an introvert, shy girl who’s completely on the command of her dominating mother-in-law and husband.
So even though Amrita’s character Radhika works at a call centre, she is dressed in traditional attires like salwar-kameez and kurtis in the film.
Amrita’s look was designed by Alvira Agnihotri (wife of Atul).
Initially, Amrita was apprehensive of her makeover, but Atul and Alvira convinced her to try it out. Amrita’s dresses consisted of Patiala salwars, Lucknowi chikan, chiffons, short kurtis and embroidered dupattas.
Apart from the look, Amrita says she had to work hard to get under the skin of her character. By nature, the actress is in complete contrast to her meek and subdued character in the film.
