The petite Amrita Rao, who will soon be seen in a glamorous avatar in her next release, My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves, is quite in the news these days, specially after the Shahid Kapur- Kareena Kapoor break up.
Thankfully for the actress, she is also being written about because of her glamorous makeover in her forthcoming film with newcomer Nikhil Dwivedi. The actress is understandably very ecstatic about it. But what is really making her happy is doing filmmaker Shyam Benegal's forthcoming film Mahadev. Acting with the veteran director has always been on Amrita's wishlist and finally it all seems to be coming true for her.
The actress is honoured by the fact that she will now be part of his filmography, which includes actors like the late Smita Patil and Shabana Azmi among other. Mahadevv is a satirical comedy and Amrita is cast in the film opposite Shreyas Talpade. This is the first time that actress will be attempting something which is funny. Meanwhile, Amrita would like to rubbish all those reports saying that she was the cause of the break-up between her Vivaah co-star and his girlfriend. According to her, she has not even met Shahid since November.
She also denied that she and Kareena were not on the best of terms following the break-up. According to Rao, Kareena even complimented her performance in Vivaah, and always been very sweet to her. These days the actress has her hands full with My Name is Anthony Gonsalves, Mahadev, Anil Kapoor's Shortcut and Victory
