An angry mob in Allahabad has ransacked the offices of the income tax department.
The people, claiming to be supporters of Amitabh Bachchan, were angry with the Mumbai IT department for serving a notice to the Bollywood star.
The move followed a press report that Amitabh had used sunglasses worth Rs 2.7 lakh during the shooting of the film Zamanat.
The IT department had subsequently denied sending any such notice, but it seems that people in the actor's hometown have decided to pay no heed to the department's denial.
