Ameesha Patel is harbouring unusual aspirations these days. After watching Lage Rahon Munnbhai four times, she dreams of playing Circuit someday, a character immortalised by Arshad Warsi.
"I wish Raju Hirani makes a part 3 and casts me as Circuit in the film. Imagine me as a tapori," she says. The last three years in Ameesha Patel's life have been nothing short of a roller-coaster ride. From the quintessential girl-next-door, she was labelled as the rebellious girl after her fall-out with parents over monetary issues and subsequent moving out of her family home. At that time, beau Vikram Bhatt was painted as the villain who had instigated her to take this step. Just when she thought she had put it in the past, her father was implicated in a financial fraud case.
"I have spoken about my family issues in the past and I don't want to get into it again. At the moment I am concentrating on my career and work is the only thing that matters right now. I have just signed Priyadarshan's film and I am very excited about it. The industry is like a family and I am gratified with the support I am getting from them through this phase," she says.
Speaking about the film which also stars Akshay Kumar , Shiney Ahuja and Vidya Balan, she says, "I am excited about working with Priyadarshan for the first time. I have always enjoyed his films. I am taking a special effort to work on my look in the film." Distancing herself further from her family, she says, "Things are moving at a good pace now. After Priyan's film, I have two more major announcements. I am just waiting for the green signal from the producer. I will talk about them when the time is right. Apart from that I am training and spending time towards a more fit me."
