After Jaaneman , Akshay Kumar will also star in Sajid Nadiadwala’s next production titled ‘Hey Baby’.
‘Hey Baby’ will also star Vidya Balan , Fardeen Khan , Ritesh Deshmukh and Boman Irani with a test shoot in Madh Island, on a budget of Rs 40 crore and is a lighthearted romantic drama about human relationships.
"Sajid Nadiadwala is producing the film for me and the budget is Rs 400 million. Shooting with stars is quite easy in comparison with shooting with a baby and so we are spending almost Rs 4.7 crore on the visual effects by using a new technology called Motion Capture," said Sajid Khan in Mumbai on Tuesday.
"There is a difference in motion control and Motion capture. This is generally done on a 3D animated CGI (computer graphic imaging) but for the first time ever in the history of world cinema, we are doing this on an actual person. Nick Nickolai from Sydney, who has earlier worked on movies like 'The Matrix', 'Babe' and 'Power Rangers', will be working on my film."
“So even if the baby is moody or crying when it has to laugh in a shoot this technology will show it as smiling with the computer special effects, which are simultaneously done behind the scene whilst the shooting is on so that the shoot is not disrupted.”
Sajid has already conducted two test shoots for the film and will be conducting another are in New Zealand. The approximate budget of one test shoot is Rs 800,000, a release said.
However, the exorbitant expenditure do not end here. "I had told Nadiadwala that I want to shoot in an Udaipur fort with 200 - 300 junior artists. Instead he has given me a Rs 30 million set, 1000 junior artists and 50 elephants, four helicopters, a big stage and a coliseum," elaborates Sajid.
The banner has backed three new directors with huge budgets, which has not been done by any other banner before, he added.
