"'Mauja Hi Mauja' is perfect for the dance floor. 'Tum Se Hi' is the soul of the film. It is a splendid romantic song," remarks Shahid about the music of JAB WE MET. He adds, "Pritam has outdone himself yet again. He's done a brilliant job of the soundtrack."
'Mauja Hi Mauja' is Mika's second big hit this year, the first being 'Aye Ganpat' from 'Shootout At Lokhandwala'. Incidentally, 'Mauja Hi Mauja' is also lead star Shahid Kapur's favourite track from the film, followed by 'Tum Se Hi', rendered by Silk Route vocalist, Mohit Chauhan.
The Mika Singh-rendered 'Mauja Hi Mauja' debuted at No.5 on the midlands' Sabras Radio, while it went up by a smashing nine places from last week straight to No.3 on The Bollywood Top 20 on the world's biggest Asian radio station, Sunrise Radio, London.
On Club Asia, another popular radio station for Greater London, it was No.1 on the chart show, which is voted for, through the website, by listeners of the station.
Within a fortnight of its release, the soundtrack of the Shahid Kapur- Kareena Kapoor starrer "Jab We Met" has already made it to the top 5 of the popular chart shows across key radio stations in the UK.
Other songs from the album which are fast moving up in the popularity charts are celebration track 'Yeh Ishq Hai' and the 'bhangra' number 'Nagada Nagada'. Moreover there are two love songs in the offering, namely 'Aao Milo Chalo' and 'Aaoge Jab Tum'.
Jab We Met releases on October 26 worldwide by Studio 18.
