She’s a true Kapoor blood. Her panache, spunky, sex-appeal, and talent are reminiscent of the older Kapoors’ in the khandaan (so what if they were mostly the male brigade).

There are very few actors who can race to the top without boasting of a B.O success. Kareena Kapoor is one such.

The ‘super-hit’ tag dodges her film, yet, her popularity remains unaffected. The best directors in the industry are willing to bet big bucks on her.

“I think it’s mostly because I have always stuck to my ground. I have set my own standards and said to myself - This is way I want it, this is way I like it.

I could do an Omkara, at the same time do a K3G or a dance to a number in Don I have proved myself time and again, though a lot of my films haven’t done well.

I guess filmmakers have been able to tap my talent and see something in me.

Or maybe God’s will or plain luck is that’s playing along with me. So many people ask me - what is it about you that everyone wants to work with you? I am trying to figure it out and answer it for myself,” explains Kareena. We believe so.

Vishal Bharadwaj was so impressed with Kareena after Omkara, he expressed his desire to work with her in all his future projects.

She adds, “That’s what he says; I hope it happens that way. Working with Vishal is every heroine’s dream come true, because he projects women beautifully.

The high I got working with Vishal Bharadwaj, I’ve never got such a high. Omkara is a painting that you can’t even reprint.

We are planning something really big next year; I am keeping my fingers crossed for it.” Her seductive moves on Shah Rukh Khan in Don have caught everyone’s attention.

Sure this was no mean task. “I love switching from super-sexy to super-non-glam.

This indeed was a challenge, though I don’t think I will be able to match up to Helen aunty, she’s too good. That’s the only thing that scared me.”

While classics are the flavour of the season, filmmakers must be turning towards this Kapoor beauty for such roles too.

“Maybe I will do it someday. I am too young for it right now. I will probably do it after five years.

If I do everything now, what will I do in the next few years?” She did a cameo in Don , but like most other beauties, Kareena probably dreams of doing one remake, portraying one unforgettable character?

“I would love to be a part of Pakeezah and Mughle Azam, but I don’t think these films will ever be remade,” with a hint of disappointment.

With so much of energy, attitude and talent - this Kapoor won’t give up the race so easily.

She darts a quick reply, “I definitely long an innings ahead of me. I have to match up to my sister, right? She’s been around for fourteen years; I have been around for only about six years.

So you see…I have a long competition that begins at home only.”
