The Junior Doctors in the state went on a flash strike once again. They were protesting against an attack on a house surgeon by the relatives of a deceased woman at the government maternity hospital at Nayapul. . The woman, who was four months pregnant was admitted to the hospital a couple of days back. She died this afternoon. Her relatives alleged that she died due to the negligence of the doctors.

The relatives of the woman attacked the doctors on duty. They damaged the furniture and beat up a house surgeon with slippers. She was also hit on the head with a saline stand. The injured doctor was shifted to Osmania hospital for treatment. The government has constituted a three-member committee to enquire into the cause of death of the woman.
