Mumaith Khan to play cop in 'Yevadaithe Nakenti'

Bollywood dancer Mumaith Khan is playing the role of a police officer in 'Yevadaithe Nakenti' directed by V Samudra and produced by Sama Chandrasekhar Reddy on the banner of Kaushik Movies with Rajasekhar and Samvruta in the lead. Producer Sama Chandrasekhar Reddy says, 'Mumaith Khan earned a craze not only in Bollywood but also in the south Indian language films as an item number dancer. She robbed the hearts of youth with her sizzling dance performances. She is playing the second heroine in our film and we are canning a special song on her. She is involving in the shooting of our last schedule to begin from November 2. Post-production works are also in progress simultaneously. We are planning to release the film in December.' Raghuvaran passes away

Popular versatile artiste Raghuvaran, who excelled in villain roles in several films died of heart attack at a private nursing home in Chennai at 6.15 am on March 19. Born on December 11, 1948, Raghuvaran made his debut into Telugu through a film called 'Mr Bharat'. However, his debut film is Ezhavathu Manithan in Tamil, which is an award winning movie brought out in 1982.

'Diamond Jubilee' special song completes shoot

The song specially canned on the top heroes and some heroines of the Telugu film industry for the 'Diamond Jubilee' of the Telugu cinema had completed its shooting last Friday.

The song scripted by Suddala Ashok Teja was tuned by Devisri Prasad and was choreographed by Prabhudeva under the direction of K Raghavendra Rao and Krishnavamsi.

Punjabi girl Tamanna in Tamil film

Mumbai based actor Tamanna, who made her debut with KD and SJ Suryah's Vyapari, will soon be seen in a Tamil film.

Tamanna, originally from Punjab, will be playing the female lead in Tamil film Azhagiri. The film, touted as an action movie, is being directed by Suresh for producer Ramesh Babu under the banner of Kanakaratna Movies. It is a remake of Lion, a Malayalam political thriller. The film has been remade in Telugu by Dr Rajasekhar and titled Evadaithey Nakenti.
