tomato, chopped 1 red chilies 3 garlic flakes, crushed 3 Salt to taste tamarind, soaked in hot water 20gms cumin seeds 1 tsp mustard seeds 1 tsp curry leaves 1 spring rasam powder 1 tsp turmeric 1/4 tps red chili powder 1 tsp cilantro leaves few Directions Heat oil in a pan, fry the mustard and cumin seeds, red chilies and curry leaves until they splutter. Then add crushed garlic and fry until it gets golden brown. Also add chopped tomatoes, turmeric and cook for a while until the tomatoes get soft. Now add tamarind water, salt, rasam powder, chili powder and water if required. Boil them until bubbles appear on them. Remove from heat and garnish with cilantro leaves. Serve hot with plain rice. |
