IT sleuths raid Mahesh Babu and Charmy
The Income Tax sleuths have conducted as surprise raid on some top actors and technicians in Tollywood. A big team of income tax officials has swooped down on the residences of Prince Mahesh Babu, Actress Charmy, director VV Vinayak and producer Dil Raju.
The tax officials are conduction search operations at their residences and offices of these people. The phone connections and other means of communication have also been cut. The tax reads and the search operations are expected to continue till late in the night.

Bollywood DVDs seized in London
British police have seized about 1.5 lakh pirated Bollywood DVDs and other counterfeit goods worth over five million pounds in a raid at a London suburb.
Four people were arrested and three cars seized from Hayes, near Southhall, with more arrests expected to follow, police said on Saturday.
Acting on a tip-off, officers carried out the raid under "Operation Don", code-named after a Bollywood action flick, and seized almost two million items.
The estimated 13 tonnes of merchandise included about two lakh counterfeit DVDs, three-quarters of which were Indian titles, as well as CDs and sports goods.

Believe it or not but an income-tax raid on a business man has yielded concealed assets worth Rs. 35,000 crores. The authorities say that this figure could go much higher.
The businessman Hassan Ali operates from Pune but hails from Hyderabad. He is known to own race horses. He owns a stud farm. Ajit-King of opening!
Ajit the "king of opening" is strong on the advance booking front in Chennai city. His Kireedam has been sold out in five Chennai screens for the opening weekend!
According to Nag Ravi, the Chennai city distributor of the film: " I think the film will open well. We are already sold out for the weekend. I have added one more screen Raj at Jayaprada complex to ease the pressure for tickets. The film has already netted Rs 28.64 lakhs in advance booking from five screens".

Annan Thambi- Super opening!
Mammootty's Annan Thambi opened big in Kerala. The film has taken a distributors share of Rs 1.07 crore in four days from 75 screens. It is a new opening record for any film in Kerala.
Though the Anwar Rasheed film carries mixed reports, the opening is gigantic. It proves the producers and distributors point of view that any big film should release in the maximum number of screens possible. Two new theatres in Hyderabad
Cine Planet, a multiplex was constructed at Kompally and Vijayalakshmi 70mm, was opened at LB Nagar. Both of them were inaugurated recently and thrown open for pubic.
While Prabhas-Nayanatara starrer Yogi was the opening film in Vijayalakshmi, the Cine Planet Multiplex is screening Yogi, Desamuduru and Guru (Hindi) in its two screens.
